Thoughtland

Thoughtland is an interdisciplinary exploration of the metaphors we use to describe and understand human psychology. Since thinking is intangible and abstract, we must resort to metaphor to describe it. Stream of consciousness; train of thought; mental leap; corridors of the mind—our everyday language reveals how we experience our own psychology. I’m interested in how we use tangible concepts to visualize the mind, and aim to create a visual and literary taxonomy of these concepts through drawing, painting, writing, and research.
